The SCSA offers a diverse range of professional learning pathways and support to help approved international schools implement and deliver the Western Australian curriculum. It has a well-established process to analyse, identify and tailor the provision of professional learning to address the different levels of experience school leaders, curriculum leaders and teachers have with the Western Australian curriculum.

Implementing and delivering an international curriculum is a significant undertaking for schools. Therefore, as part of their agreement with the SCSA, schools participate in professional learning activities and information sharing meetings.

The SCSA’s professional learning pathways balance the expertise of the SCSA’s curriculum specialists with the needs of the school to tailor a professional learning journey that is respectful of each teacher’s professional standing. The design, creation and delivery of the SCSA’s professional learning take into consideration school contexts and levels of experience with the Western Australian curriculum.
